Into the Digital World

Mindanao Open Source Society (MOSS) is a non-profit organization promoting free and open source software in Mindanao, Philippines. It is a team composed of volunteers from different regions in Mindanao, developing and sharing their talents and skills to uphold the goals of the organization.

Since MOSS uses Linux, it has adopted the idea of using a penguin
(top head view ) as the emblem because the organization supports open source.
The penguin’s beak with three strong colors forms a vinta which represents the
regions of Mindanao. The vinta with its crystalyzed form shows genuinity, power
and simplicity with style; with this imagery presented, the MOSS emblem was
born.
