Celebration of SFD in Basilan a Success

The Mindanao Open Source Society together with the COMTECH Institute Inc and with D’COMTECHIAN has successfully celebrated the FOSS@CLASS an Introductory to FOSS Application and GNU/Linux in connection to the Software freedom day 2008 celebration at COMTECH Institute Basilan last September 27, 2008.

The event has 67 attendees including the organizers and guest speakers.  The delegates came from the different schools and organizations in Basilan namely the COMTECH Institute Inc., Furigay College Inc, Claret College of Isabela, Universidad De Zamboanga and Philhealth Isabela. 

Thanks to the event sponsor for making this event a success and supported us on the event. Netbeans.org supported by SUN Microsystem, Ubuntu, Software Freedom International, International Open Source Network ASEAN+3, Mr. Jerome Locson, Ms. C. Carmelita Cajucom, and wahoy.com.
