Mozilla Chavacano Localization Marathon Success
The 1st Mozilla Chavacano Localization marathon in Southern City Colleges was a success last January 28, 2013. More than 40 student from their institution join and participate the event with the support of their dean. The event was organized by some Mozilla Student Representative from their institution to help the localization effort using the Chavacano module. The event started at 5:00pm and ended at 7:00pm just translating strings in Chavacano localization.
Chavacano Localization effort for Firefox
After using the narro from the previous localization effort of some student volunteers in Zamboanga Peninsula, the Chavacano localization effort is now move to Pootle server due to some buggy issue on narro. If interested to translate Firefox project to chavacano you can visit http://mozilla.locamotion.org/cbk/firefox/ and simple signup for your account and participate on translating the project.
2nd Mozcoffee L10n Sprint in Zamboanga City a success
The 2nd Mozcoffee L10n Sprint in Zamboaga City is a success, which was held at Witch Craft La Tienda De Gulucinas in Zamboanga City, last September 2, 2012. More than 18 volunteer s from different schools attended the event. The event started at 11:00am in the morning and ended around 3:00pm in the afternoon. We also have the opportunity to discuss some upcoming event in Zamboanga City that Mozilla will participate and some volunteer for the task assigned during the event.
