Keon APN Settings in Philippines

After receiving my Keon mobile phone, Im trying to test some data packet connection using different network. Since the mobile phone model is not from Philippines, there is no current settings to download on network. But it can set manually under Cellular & Data > Advance settings > Data Settings all you need to fill up is the APN to function the data packet connection. Below are the settings for APN from different network.

 

APN Settings for Globe

Postpaid APN: internet.globe.com.ph

Prepaid APN: http.globe.com.ph

 

APN Settings for Smart Bro

Postpaid APN: smartbro

Prepaid APN: smartbro

 

APN Settings for Smart Buddy, Smart Gold

Once manually set you can now use the data packet connection to browse and download.

Meet My New Gadget: Keon

Finally arrived just this morning via UPS delivery… My new gadget to play with, the Firefox OS Developer Phone  KEON. As a Mozilla Representative and active contributors in a community, i have the opportunity to request one of the developers phone for FREE to test the device and its apps. Thanks to Mozilla for this opportunity.

Firefox OS is a new mobile operating system developed by Mozilla. It uses a Linux kernel and boots into a Gecko-based runtime engine, which lets users run applications developed entirely using HTML, JavaScript, and other open web application APIs.

Zamboanga Goes Mobile – “Open Source Style”

After the successful event of Firefox OS Apps Day in Manila, last January 28, 2013. The Mozilla Philippines community organized another mobile event dubbed “Zamboanga Goes Mobile- Open Source Style” which aims to introduce Mozilla project and the new Firefox OS in Zamboanga Peninsula with the expected participants of 100-150 ranging from student developer, professional developer and I.T. Enthusiast who is interested to know about the new mobile project of Mozilla.

As an event of Mozilla Philippines Community, official Mozilla Representative will be going to Zamboanga City as guest lecturer to discuss topic such as Firefox for Android, Firefox OS and Firefox Marketplace.

The Firefox OS is a new operating system developed by Mozilla’s Boot to Gecko (B2G) project. It is a linux-based open source operating system for smartphones and tablet computers; it is designed to allow HTML5 applications to integrate directly with the device hardware using Javascript. Firefox OS also uses open web technologies stack.

The event required online registration to get a FREE ticket via email and can be registered using this link http://firefoxoszambo.eventbrite.com .The event is hosted by E-learning Centre Inc. which is located at 3F ZGU-II Bldg.
